Effective date: August 24, 2026
Version: privacy-v1.0-2026-08
YLIA Co., Ltd. ("YLIA," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Find Korean Partners website (the "Service") to help businesses outside Korea connect with Korean business partners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you submit a partner request through our Service, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

2. Information we collect
When you submit a partner request, we collect:
- Contact email address — to respond to your request
- Company name and website — to understand your business
- What you're looking for, category, partner type, budget, timeline, whether you need English support — to match you with a suitable Korean partner
- A free-text description of your purpose/needs — please do not include national ID numbers, passport numbers, or other sensitive identifiers in this field
- Your consent choices and the time you gave them — as proof of consent
- A partial (masked) IP address — for consent verification and fraud prevention only. We store only the network portion of your IP address (the last part is removed) and delete it after 6 months.
We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or sensitive categories of data (health, biometric, etc.) through this form. Please do not include such information in the free-text fields.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (see Section 7, Cookies & Analytics).
3. Why we collect it
We use the information above solely to:
- Evaluate and process your partner request
- Research and identify suitable Korean business partners for you
- Contact you about your request
- Maintain records required to demonstrate lawful processing (consent records)
- Understand aggregate usage of our Service (analytics; this does not use your contact information)
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing unless you separately opt in.
4. How long we keep your information
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purpose above:
| Request status | Retention period |
|---|---|
| New / Under review / Matching in progress / On hold | 12 months from the last status change |
| Matched | 24 months from the match date |
| Closed / Spam | Deleted within 30 days of that determination |
When a retention period expires, we remove the personal identifiers (email, company name/website, free-text fields) from the record. We may keep de-identified statistical information (category, timeline, country/language, submission date) for service improvement purposes, since this information can no longer identify you.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your information or share it with unrelated third parties for their own purposes.
We share information with the following service providers who process it on our behalf (data processors), strictly to operate the Service:
| Service provider | What they do | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase, Inc. | Database hosting and storage for your request, and administrator authentication for our internal team | Your request data |
| Amazon Web Services, Inc. | Website hosting and application infrastructure | Your request data (in transit/hosting) |
| Google LLC | Website analytics (Google Analytics) | Anonymous/aggregated usage data |
Our database is hosted in the Seoul (South Korea) region. Note that our service providers' support personnel may, in limited circumstances, access systems remotely for maintenance purposes, subject to their own security and confidentiality obligations to us.
We only introduce your information to a specific Korean partner company at the point of an actual match, and we will ask you separately, by email, before doing so. We do not send your information to potential partners in advance or as part of this form submission.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict our processing of your information
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jhc@ylia.io. If you are located in South Korea, you may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (privacy.go.kr). If you are located in the EU/EEA, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use our Service. These tools may set cookies in your browser. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information, including access controls that restrict who can view your request data, and encryption in transit.
9. Children's privacy
Our Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date above and, where required, seek renewed consent for continued use of the Service.
